Dirt High Promotions is thrilled to announce the launch of the Side by Side Rodeo, a brand-new off-road event set to be the first SxS only event to be hosted in Western Australia.
Created in collaboration with WA Polaris Dealerships, the Rodeo is a community focused, non-competitive recreational driving day that SxS drivers of all types and backgrounds are welcome to participate in.
Set to take place at Nalya Farm, just 25 kilometres East of Brookton, on August 29, drivers will be able to explore over 30,000 acres of Wheatbelt bushland and farmland, with a 63-kilometre guided tour kicking proceedings on the Friday morning.
The Rodeo, which is sanctioned by Motorcycling Australia, is open to all SxS makes and models, including Polaris, Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki, but race buggies are not encouraged.
The event will be held in conjunction with Brookton Pony Express, giving SxS drivers the opportunity to traverse the 18km Pony Express racetrack shortly before Western Australia’s finest EnduroCross will battle it out in the final race of the season later shortly following the Rodeo.
Dirt High Promotions owner Willie Thomson said there is a demand for community and events like this amongst SxS owners
“There are many SxS owners that come to our events who have been asking me if they can drive around the track,” he said.
“We have got this great piece of land and interest from owners, so why not create something new where people can drive these buggies safely?
“This is about enjoying Side by Side driving, not racing it.
“There has never been anything like it in WA and it’s time we had an event for these buggies and their owners.”
The event will also feature dealer displays alongside a 1km demo loop for members of the public to come and test drive SxS models.
At the conclusion of the Rodeo, the Brookton Pony Express will kick off it’s weekend with Flat Track Motocross under lights that Friday evening.
Registrations are now open via Ridernet with more information available here.
