Dirt High Promotions has announced the homecoming of the Manjimup 15000 this June at the Cosy Creek Motocross Track.
MX fans can be prepared for an action-packed June long weekend, with numerous world class riders including former winner Regan Duffy confirming they will make the trip to the South West for the event.
Riders will rev up their engines on Friday May 31, with hundreds of dirt bikes taking to the Cosy Creek track for Juniors practice in the morning then Seniors in the afternoon.
This will be followed by the opening ceremony on the Friday night, with riders heading over to the Tall Timbers Brewery in Manjimup to give fans an opportunity to meet their heroes.
Racing will begin on the Saturday with Juniors and Old Stars competitors lighting up the track.
The weekend will feature a new event not seen in WA before, with an all-new downhill mountain biking event taking centre stage under lights on the Saturday night.
The mountain biking track has been designed by 8x world champion Sam Hill.
The track will start at the top of Rock and Roll Hill and then run down through the campsite to give the racing event a carnival like atmosphere heading into the final day of the event.
The Manjimup 15000 will take place on the Sunday, with world class riders taking to the track to see who will be crowned champion.
Dirt High Promotions owner Willie Thomson said this year will be the biggest Manjimup 15000 on record.
“The reaction we have had on social media has been incredible, we already have over 25000 views on our announcement video we put out in December,” he said.
“I think what is getting riders is excited is not only the Manjimup 15000 but the new mountain biking track we are putting in for the weekend. That’s going to be massive.”
