Dirt High Promotions has confirmed the cancellation of the highly anticipated Four-Cross mountain bike event.
Set to take place under lights at Cosy Creek Motocross Track on Saturday, June 1, this year’s Four-Cross would have marked the second-ever running of the high-octane downhill race, which made its thrilling debut in 2024.ย
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen logistical challenges, organisers have made the difficult decision to pull the pin for this year.
Event organiser and Dirt High Promotions owner Willie Thomson said the decision wasnโt made lightly.
โIโm honestly gutted we can’t put it on this year,” he said.
“Last yearโs race was really electric. The crowd, the lights, the energy around the track. It brought something really special to the weekend, and we were so excited to build on that this year.โ
The Four-Cross was originally planned as a post-motocross spectacle, drawing riders and fans trackside for bar-to-bar racing across a purpose-built 350m course designed by downhill legend and 8-time world champion Sam Hill.
โWe had such a great response from the MTB community in 2024,” he said.
Everyone from the juniors to the top-level guys โ loved it. Itโs a shame to lose that momentum this year, but weโll regroup and look to bring it back even bigger.โ
While the Four-Cross wonโt go ahead in 2025, the Berry Sweet Manjimup 15,000 remains full throttle for the long weekend.ย
Willie says fans can still expect a massive weekend of action, even without the mountain bike component.
โWeโre still putting on the biggest motocross show in the country. This event is about showcasing elite talent and giving kids something to dream about,โ he said.
Weโll miss the Four-Cross, no doubt, but the spirit of Manjimup lives on through the motocross.โ
Dirt High Promotions has left the door open for the event to return in 2026.
